Druhý den byl z pohledu české atletiky úspěšnější než úvodní den MS v Londýně. V dopoledním programu kromě našich vícebojařek se představili dva vrhači a to Tomáš Staněk a Ladislav Prášil v kladivu žen Kateřina Šafránková a na 400 metrů Pavel Maslák . A úspěšnost v postupech byla vynikající a tak kromě Ladislava Prášila uvidíme ve finále či semifinále všechny naše reprezentanty .
Pro Tomáše byla kvalifikace jen otázkou jednoho vrhu , kdy se naprosto přesně trefil do postupového limitu a tak v pohodě a klidu dokráčel do finále. To Ladislav Prášil bojoval s technikou a nebyl schopen se dostat do své nejlepší letošní formy a tak jemu zůstaly brány finále uzavřeny . Velkou bojovnost prokázala Kateřina když posledním pokusem kvalifikace proklouzla do finále z předposledního místa s malým q . Pavel Maslák opět všecny přesvědčil o velké bojovnosti a SB doběhl do semifinále . Zde díky postupovému klíči poběží v druhé dráze což je sice pěkné pro sledování soupeřů , ale neběhá se v této dráze moc dobře pro výkony.
Večerní program byl pro českou atletiku zajímavý z pohledu skoku do dálky kde se ve finále představil Radek Juška a bojujících vícebojařek Kateřiny Cachové a Elišky Klučinové . Jeho tři pokusy stačily na desáté místo a vlastně by se dalo říci jen dva pokusy jelikož poslední skok byl proběhnutý. Veliká konkurence a výkony na úrovni Juškova českého rekordu by zaručily bronzovou medaily , ale asi velká motivace předvést velký výkon svazovala Radkovi nohy a tak z toho bylo desáté místo. Vyrostl z něj velký závodník a dálkař a tak se můžeme těšit na další krásné výkony a medaile z velkých závodů.
Nemůžeme si nevšimnout zakončení kariéry největšího atleta posledních let Usaina Bolta. Již od rozběhů bylo jasné, že zde vidíme jiného člověka a v podstatě tento závod byl tak troch navíc v hvězdné kariéře tohoto atleta. Mohl v klidu skončit po OH v Riu 2016 a nikdo by se nedivil. On však zakončil karieru jak slíbil v Londýně a to bronzovou medailí na 100 metrů. Bylo vidět jaké velké úsilí v každém běhu, chyběla ona lehkost a uvolněnost. Přesto bojoval a rozloučil se s velikostí svých úspěchů. Bronz byl pro něj zlatem tak jako pro londýnské publikum. Děkujeme Usaine Bolte za to co jsi pro atletiku udělal . Jednou bude historie psát atletika před králem sprintu a po něm .
The second day 5th August
From the point of view of Czech athletics the second day was more successful than the opening day of World Championship in London. In the morning program, besides our multi-event competitors, two shot put men presented, namely Tomáš Staněk and Ladislav Prášil, in the women’s shot put Kateřina Šafránková and for 400 meters Pavel Maslák. And the successful advance to the finals was excellent and so, apart from Ladislav Prášil, we will have an opportunity to see all our representatives in the final or semifinals.
For Tomáš Staněk the qualifying was only a matter of single throw when he had just hit the limit and so he advanced to the finals. Ladislav Prášil struggled with the technique and was unable to get his best from this year´s shape and thus the gate to the finals remained closed for him. Kateřina’s great fighting spirit was proven by her last attempt to qualify for the final from the penultimate place with a small q. Pavel Maslák once again convinced all about the great fighting spirit and the SB and he finished in the semifinals. Here, thanks to the berth clue, he will run in the second track, which is advantage for watching rivals, however, for the performance this track is not very suitable.
Evening program was interesting for the Czech athletic point of view of a long jump where in the final was presented Radek Juška and struggle of multi-event competitors Kateřina Cachová and Eliška Klučinová. Juška´s three or rather two attempts were sufficient for 10th position as the last jump was „over“. Great competition and performances at the level of Juška´s Czech record would guarantee bronze medal, but perhaps a great motivation to present a good performance tied Radek’s legs and result was the tenth position. He has grown up into a great long distance jumper and so we can look forward to other great performances and medals from big events.
We can not fail to notice the end of the career of the greatest athlete of the last years, Ussain Bolt. Already from the heats, it seemed as if we watched other man here and basically this race was rather addition to the starry career of this athlete. He could have finished after the Olympics in Rio 2016 and no one would be surprised. But he ended his career as he promised in London with a bronze medal at 100 meters. In each run was obvious great effort, lacking ease and relaxation. Even though he struggled he said goodbye with the greatness of his success. Bronze medal was gold for him as well as for the London audence. Thank you, Usain Bolt, for what you did for athletics. Once, history will write athletics before and after the king of sprint .
