Svezte se zubačkou k překrásnému tyrolskému jezeru Achensee
Pojedete-li po dálnici na Innsbruck, sjezd z dálnice Vás nasměruje k městečku Jenbach poblíž jezera Achensee. Z toho městečka vyjíždí nejstarší parní zubačka v Evropě směrem k jezeru Achensee. Trať Achenseebahn začíná v nádraží Jenbach, které je výjimečné tím, že se zde setkávají tři tratě různých rozchodů provozované třemi různými dopravními společnostmi: Achenseebahn s metrovým rozchodem, Österreichischen Bundesbahnen se standardním rozchodem (1.435 m) a Zillertalbahn s rozchodem 760 mm.
Historie trati Achenseebahn
Historie tratě sahá do roku 1886, kdy konzul Theodor Friedrich Freiherr von Dreifuss z Grünecku získal koncesi na ozubnicovou železnici neboli železniční spojení z Jenbachu v údolí řeky Inn až k jižnímu cípu jezera Achensee.

Trasa
Krátce po opuštění vlakového nádraží Jenbach vláček sestávající ze dvou vagonů, jednoho otevřeného a jednoho krytého, stoupat po trase zubačky. Počínaje zastávkou Burgeck na km 1,4, začíná největší stoupání po další trase 160 ‰.
Z horského úbočí vysoko nad Jenbachem mají cestující nádherný výhled na údolí Inn a okolní hory od Stubaiských Alp po Wilder Kaiser. Po 30 minutách jízdy se dostanete k nejvyššímu bodu na trati: do stanice Eben, ležící na 3,62 km, ve výšce 970 metrů nad mořem.
Těsně před zastávkou Eben končí ozubnicová část tratě. A poslední úsek tratě se sklonem 25 ‰ vede do konečné stanice Seespitz. Stanice Eben jako jediná na trati slouží jako výhybna. Zde se křižuje vlak z údolí a vlak jedoucí od jezera.
Z bezpečnostních důvodů jsou vlaky jedoucí ve směru nahoru tlačeny a vlaky jedoucí směrem dolů taženy lokomotivou.
Po krátké jízdě vláček dosáhne stanice Maurach a posléze Maurach Mitte, než dojede do cílové stanice Seespitze u jezera Achensee.
Po vystoupení z vláčku můžete přestoupit na loď a pokračovat vyhlídkovou plavbou po jezeře Achensee.

If you drive along the highway to Innsbruck, the exit will direct you to town Jenbach situated near Lake Achensee. The oldest cog steam railwayin Europe climb to the Achensee lake and offers a wonderful view . The Achenseebahn starts at Jenbach Railway Station, which is exceptional by meeting three tracks with different gauge run by three different transport companies: the Achenseebahn with one meter gauge, the Österreichischen Bundesbahnen with a standard gauge (1,435 m) and the Zillertalbahn with a 760 mm gauge.
History
The history of the railway dates back to 1886 when Consul Theodor Friedrich Freiherr von Dreifuss of Grüneck obtained a concession on a cog railway or a rail link from Jenbach in the Inn Valley to the southern corner of Lake Achensee.

Shortly after leaving Jenbach Railway Station, a train consisting of two wagons climbs along the route of a cogwheel. At 1,4 km at Burgeck station, the largest climb 160 ‰ starts.
From the slope above Jenbach, you have a wonderful view of the Inn Valley and the surrounding mountains from the Stubai Alps to the Wilder Kaiser. After 30 minutes, you will reach the highest point on the route Eben station, located at 3.62 km, at 970 meters above sea level.
Just before Eben stop the rack section of the track ends. And the last part of the track with the slope of 25 ‰ leads to the final station Seespitz. Eben is the only station on the track which serves as a turnout. Here meets a train from the valley and a train running from the lake. For safety reasons, trains going upward are pushed by the locomotive while trains going downhill are pulled.
After a short ride, the train reaches station Maurach and later Maurach Mitte before arriving at terminal Seespitze at Lake Achensee. After leaving the train, you can change to the ship and continue the cruise on Achensee.
